Idealist Online
Idealist is an online resource for nonprofit and community organizations and the people they serve.
Idealist allows organizations -- whether they have a Web site or not -- to enter and update information about their services, volunteer opportunities, job openings, internships, upcoming events, and any material or publication they have produced. Sixteen thousand organizations in 130 countries are already using Idealist.
The Points of Light Foundation
Assists employers in developing workplace volunteer programs. Participates in the development of youth service leaders and youth service programs.
Provides training and development for Volunteer Centers across the nation providing products and services to volunteer management professionals. Aids and encourages the growth of the family volunteering concept. Click on the following topics for more information:

United Way
United Way of Greater St. Louis offers its Caring Catalog of opportunities on line. Their site has information on getting United Way certification for your agency.
United Way also has an international Web site that lets you search for your local United Way.

An international training, consulting and publishing firm with the rather unique specialty of volunteerism. Founded in 1977, Energize, Inc. helps a diverse range of organzations to start or expand community involvement efforts.
